My name is Chantal Francois I started We Care Together Southampton with my business partner back in 2016. We believed that care could be great, and delivery should only be delivered at the highest standards. Because of this we have created a very good reputation, we have built this business on our experiences and knowledge.
So the reason I have decided to qualify in education and training is to ensure that we are able to continue to deliver high standards of training so that anybody wanting to work in this sector or even just to gain knowledge in this sector can do so knowing they are receiving only the best standards of learning.
Becoming a carer can be daunting, here at We Care Together Southampton we teach individuals to feel comfortable supporting people in their own homes or in a care home. We give them practical learning skills, so they can implement them in the day to day.
Our aim is to give the individuals we train the confidence and fulfilment of learning and development in the health and social care sector.
Seeing individuals achieve their goals gives me a great sense of pride.
Kelly Kerins
My name is Kelly Kerins and I have been working for We Care Together since September 2017.
I started off as the Care-Coordinator but have since found a newfound love for training to expand my knowledge in the care sector, this helps us to provide a safe, effective, compassionate and high quality of care in the community, which ensures us to provide personal centred care to each of our service user’s needs.
I attended Eastleigh college alongside working for We Care Together, to successfully complete an NVQ Level 3 in Education and Training. Since then, I have completed the following and now qualified to train in:
- Moving and Handling
- First Aid
- Brain and Spinal Injury
- Oxygen Therapy, Oral Suction and Cough Assist
- Medication
- Epilepsy and Rescue Medication
- Diabetes, Insulin Administration and Management
- Collar Care
- PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
I am passionate about giving my students the tools and knowledge to confidently deliver outstanding personal centred care in the community. I adapt the training I deliver to my students to make them feel comfortable and welcome in the classroom. I make the training days dynamic and enjoyable, so more information is retained as from personal experiences, training days can be tedious and prolonged.
I am looking forward to what the future holds in my training career.
